Jesse Timm is a storyteller, filmmaker, and musician hailing from the city of Spokane, Washington. In 2014 he moved to the opposite corner of the continental US to Florida, where he earned his MFA in Film Production from Full Sail University.
While attending Full Sail, Jesse discovered a love for screenwriting, directing, and casting. During his tenure in the Film Production program he won Course Director Awards for Script Production & Analysis as well as Directing Talent. Jesse has served as casting director on a number of short films, including his own class’ thesis film, Fenrik The Troll. He loves working with directors to find the right talent for their unique vision. In addition to working on others’ projects, Jesse has written and directed shorts of his own, some of which have been screened in film festivals such as Hurricane FilmFest and Los Angeles CineFest. Jesse is developing all kinds of stories in all kinds of mediums including features, television, novels, graphic novels, concept albums, and more. He also intends to explore the vast potential of transmedia by weaving stories across all these platforms. Jesse is among the founding members of the Acme Film Festival and served as a festival curator for the first two events. The first event received thirty-six submissions and the second more than doubled in scale, receiving a total of eighty-nine submissions. Music is another outlet for Jesse’s creativity. He has written, recorded, and produced two original albums already: one a brooding singer/songwriter piece and the other a conceptual electronic album and he has plans for many others. |
